Pan Seared Honey Garlic Salmon
INGREDIENTS
4 6-oz. Salmon Fillets
1/3 c. Honey 1/4 c. Low Sodium Soy Sauce
3 tbsp. Olive Oil 2 tbsp. Lemon Juice 1 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1 Dried Fresh Red Peppers (chopped) 4 Garlic Cloves (minced)
1 Lemon (thinly sliced)
Salt & Pepper
DIRECTIONS
Dry the Salmon fillets with a paper town and salt and pepper them on both sides.
In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice and red pepper, cayenne pepper and garlic powder.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat 2 tbsp of olive oil. Once the skillet is warm place the salmon skin-side up. Cook salmon for about 6 minutes or until deeply golden then flip over and add remaining tablespoon of oil.
Add garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant, 30 sec - 1 minute.
Pour in the honey mixture, top with some of the sliced lemons. Leave uncovered and cook until sauce is reduced by about a third. Baste salmon with the sauce.
Garnish with sliced lemon (optional) and Enjoy!
**While cooking the salmon it is a perfect time to steam up some fresh veggies to accompany it! Personally I really enjoy steamed broccoli, but it is whatever you like!
